Prospective Staff

There are three groups of staff members who work at YMCA Camp Mason throughout the year. Our professional staff live and work here full-time, and include executive, director, and support personnel. The Mason Outdoor Center employs a group of 6-12 naturalists in the autumn, winter, and spring. These college-age young people deliver our programs to the families, groups, and schools who attend the camp in the off-season. Our summer camp staff consists of about 85 program, support, and counseling staff members who provide a traditional residential summer camp experience for 8 weeks in June, July, and August.
During the summer we hire: village directors, teen program directors, a program director and assistants, cabin counselors, a trips director, trips counselors, a ranch director and assistant, ranch counselors, lifeguards, medical staff, support staff (kitchen, maintenance, drivers), activity specialists (target sports, land sports, ropes course, nature, performing and creative arts, aquatics/boating), and more. To apply online, go to the summer staff application page or send an email to Don Jennings, the summer camp director.

The Mason Outdoor Center hires naturalists in the spring and fall. The OC focus during these seasons is outdoor education programming for families, groups, conferences, and schools. A close-knit group of naturalist guide each of these groups in outdoor experiences such as: nature rambles, high ropes, GPS Caching, fire building, tracking, natural history, geology, and many other seasonal activities. To apply online, go to the outdoor center staff application page, or send an email to Alison Fisk, the outdoor center director.
