Prospective Staff

There are three groups of staff members who work at YMCA Camp Mason throughout the year. Our professional staff live and work here full-time. The Outdoor Center employs naturalists in the spring and fall. The summer camp staff consists of about 85 program, support, and counseling staff members who deliver a traditional camp experience in June, July, and August.
During the summer we hire: village directors, teen program directors, program assistants, cabin counselors, a trips director, trips counselors, a ranch director and assistant, ranch counselors, lifeguards, medical staff, support staff (kitchen, maintenance, drivers), activity specialists (target sports, land sports, ropes course, nature, performing and creative arts, aquatics/boating), and more. The Outdoor Center hires Outdoor Education Naturalists for the Spring and Fall seasons to provide programming for visiting schools and groups. Naturalists teach and lead groups of students in outdoor, environmental and recreational activities, including Forest Ecology, Geology, Low Ropes, High Ropes, Archery, Boating and Canoeing and much, much more.
